    The next step up in size from a pochade is a box easel. Box easels are made in two sizes, a 24" Box Easel and a 36" Box Easel.

    The  box easels are basically the 24" Table top and the 36" table top on top of a box with a locking drawer and a handle for carrying.   
    The drawers are 2" deep and 10" x 16" or 14" x18".
     They both fold down for transporting and, when folded, are 6-1/2" high. The 24"Box is 24" long and 12" wide and the 36" Box is  
    29"    long and 16" wide.
      The 24"Box easel handles canvases up to 24" high and the 36" Box Easel handles canvases up to 36" high. The width of the canvas is  governed by your own common sense
